Research Assignment
Define Gothic fiction and explain typical devices or elements common to Gothic stories. Then, explain how either Faulkner’s “A Rose for Emily” or Poe’s “The Tell-Tale Heart” (or both) fit into the Gothic genre. Due date: Nov 1 The student is to write a Research Essay in MLA style, of 1500 or more words, with four or more sources (incorporating at least one article from an academic journal and only one dictionary or encyclopedia.) The sources you use may not be unreliable sources such as Wikipedia, etc.
